I think that it's mostly because of these stupid crickets the teacher had in the classroom that were chirping through my entire solo throwing me off. 2005-04-11 [Mr. Werewolf]: Yeah, it's because band is a skinny block which is just 45 minutes as opposed to the regular 85 minutes...and opposite that are the english classes. Freshmen classes are opposite regular concert band and the other english classes are opposite wind ensemble. Wind ensemble is either upperclassmen and freshmen who are pretty good and concert band is freshmen and dedicated upperclassmen who are in both. It is really messed up.

This is Erik, who didn't hide at all that he picked his nose in third grade; Erik, who messes up the DINKIEST auxilary percussion parts in concert band; Erik, who tried out for marching band last year but didn't make it (the only person from my middle school who tried out but didn't make it. And, by the way, almost everyone made it- really simple audition). If he's not on the rack (auxilary percussion rack), he's going to be murdered, because he's going to murder our show! As a matter of fact, he could probably screw up the rack too... But I'm trying to be optimistic. (That's why I mentioned the murder).

Yeah, the percussion instructor said me and my junior friend are the negative influence (because he knows we hate him and he knows that people are saying: A) he's sexist about the battery-true, I'm sure... and B) he let in two girls this year because one of them is his boss's daughter and the other is her close friend, as well as the issue that only letting the daughter in would make it more obvious that that's why)

The only other band tenth graders can be in (with a few exceptions) is Wind Ensemble, which is the school's best band. I tried out for wind ensemble, but didn't make it. Why I'm so disappointed: all my friends who tried out made it AND, while they said they probably wouldn't take more saxophones, they did take one more anyway.
